Andrews-bad-SE ^this for sure. Make sure your cables are properly slicked up. happens to everyone over time.

freemind There is a little blue "sleeve" around the cable behind the gas pedal. Check and see if it is hanging up. Mine does here and there and it drives me nuts.

rambleon84 This just happened over the weekend with my sisters '07 SES. Seems the cold weather made it worse (went from low 60's to high 20's) and caused the plastic to contract slightly. When driving it, I'd have to give it a pretty abrupt tap to get the pedal to move. It was fine as as long as you didnt completely let off the gas.

The throttle body/butterfly valve had so much crap deposited on them. I cleaned them on Saturday and she says her car is back to normal driving now.

I found whynotthinkwhynot's post after a quick search

matmatician Have you cleaned the throttlebody recently? They start to stick after a while, it's been a pretty common issue. I've got an 06 dtec manual and mine did it too. Replaced the throttlebody (cleaning would suffice) and it was fixed. A co-worker of mine has the same problem with his 06 zx3.
