Sorry about your car but could have been a rock if they had to actually replace it, which isn't their fault or a build quality issue. If it was just leaking like from a coolant hose they wouldn't replace the whole radiator. And At least its fixed so you can enjoy driving it again.
I would agree that most foci are problem free but with mine I gave Ford a pass with the first coolant issue. (Crank is some plastic piece on the divers side of the engine) Now a crack in the radiator on the bottom right corner.

I know it was hypothetical, but I don't buy it was a rock that cracked it for two reasons. First they fixed it under warranty with no questions asked and second the crack was on a spot that was well protected by the bumper and dust shield.

I appreciate the comment though!

Thanks for the info.

Vrod21 Strike 4 for Ford. There was a radiator leak. They are putting a new radiator in now.

As stated at the beginning this is the 4th thing to go wrong. Geez.

Oh and the dealer said they smelled it and it was not coolant. They don't know what the smell is. They will power wash the engine compartment and see if it comes back.

Vrod21 No fluid on the engine. I know the solenoids your talking about and they are fine.

If I have it running with the hood open, I can smell it pretty bad from the right side of the engine. Behind the throttle body, right on the engine and left of the battery. Just above the transmission.

I had a coolant leak about 10k ago and it leaked onto the top of the tranny. No real smell with that leak thought but this smell is coming from that area.
