I'd hate to lose you as a member of the Ford Family. If you'd like, I can document product feedback on your Focus. If you're interested, please send me a PM with your full name, VIN, and servicing dealership.

|#1fordfan||I noticed something this week. I had to replace the battery in my 2005 because it was 8 years old and the cold finally got to it,long crank times seem to be gone!!|

|syncro87||05 automatic wagon. Have not encountered this problem yet with 90k or so on the clock.|

I have a 2005 and I do not have trouble with long cranking. Seems the car used to have some issues with that, but after catching up on deferred maintenance from the previous owner, I never encounter it. We got the car a year and two months ago with 137,000 on it, and it now has 175,700. I couldn't tell you what fixed the problem, but somewhere in there (come to think of it) the damn thing stopped doing it.

Have you been to another dealer for a second opinion?

|xFOCIx||UNHAPPY. It's been this way since the day I got it new. It's only getting worse. No resolution from dealer in the many times its been taken in.|

|SlickWilly||What do you mean by bumping the key. My 02 F-150 had a long time to start and my 03 did not. Now my 09 I only need to flick my key as it pretty much auto start's itself.|

|focusrenton||thank you whynotthinkwhynot. I am new to this so I didn't want to make a new thread for something that had already been posted. I will clean or replace the MAF and see if that helps my issue.|
