|PSUrivie||There's a lot of people on here making big power with the stock TB. Again, a tune can increase the sensitivity of the throttle response. There is a larger DBW TB you can get from the UK. Someone on here installed it a while back. It is pretty expensive though.|

I plan on doing a large turbo setup and research has led me to believe that the TB will be the largest bottleneck on the intake stream with such a setup. They make larger ones for the D23 (Which is what will be going in) and was hoping I could convert the TB so that I can go bigger as well.
And I have an MTX, but I can still tell the delay after driving it for a year and getting used to it. I actually gas a split second before I know I need/want power. It may not sound like much, but in an autox it makes a huge difference; and even though I can accommodate for it I'd much rather have throttle on command.

|PSUrivie||The DBW sensitivity can be adjusted with a tune. That's prob a better option than going with a cable.|

|Urbanspacedude91||Im with mac.mogul on both statements. i personally think that it wouldnt matter if it is dbw or cable. An intake manifold should do you the justice. I dont know if its just me but i feel like this is just a different version of the BIG THREE just sounds more costly.|

With the manual I get a little bit of lag but it's barely noticeable.

|nowhere67||I know I have thought about if you could do it myself. The main reason I want to do it is to improve the throttle response time. I know it bugs me when i go to step on the pedal hard and it takes a second or two to respond.|

How exactly is it a bottleneck?
I realize that the response can feel a little slower than traditional cable, but when the throttle is open, it's open. You're not bolting on power if you swap to a cable assembly...

|wrc_fan||^^I would say, probably looking for better drivablility and performance. One of the few things I hate on my WRX, the DBW just can't keep up with my rev matching. It could be improved with a tune, I know, but I'm not willing to risk my powertrain warranty.|
