nbartosz Im 19 and a college student. I pay $135 a month for my 2012 Focus Titanium hatch. I have full coverage (everything as high as it goes) and a $250 deductible. I do not have any tickets though.
If the cars are under your parents name and they are shown as the primary drivers it will be a lot cheaper, and they might not have full coverage or no loans against the cars which both also lower the payment.

Insurance on 2013 SE?

If you guys don't mind giving me a figure, what does your insurance look like for your new 2013 Ford Focus SE? I priced mine at $155 for full coverage. I'm also a 20 year old college student with a speeding ticket on my record. I'm just wondering if that's a decent price or if you guys are getting much better rates. My dad is cosigning and it could be put under his name, but I'm not sure how much difference that would make.

To further that, we have another newer Ford SUV that was about $10,000 more, much less economical, and not as highly rated safety wise and the premium and price for it is exactly half of what the Focus will be. That seems a bit strange to me. We also have 4 cars on the insurance(one new ford, one 2000's ford suv, two mid 90's cars) and the total payment a month is $175 basically. $155 basically doubles that for just one car. Anyone able to help on why that might be?
