|MattB488||Damn. Well I emailed my state's DOT to see if there was any legality in aftermarket HIDs. Waiting to hear back on if they're legal and if so whether I can do a retrofit or have to buy new housings|

|MattB488||Do you guys know if any companies make an actual HID projector headlight assembly for the 2000? I don't like the "retrofit" idea, just incase something were to go wrong, I'm not out those housings, or if I get pulled over and have to change them back.|

The best hid kit that you can get is this one:
just be sure to get the H4/9003 harness with it!

Check your local junkyards for the parts needed such as:
foglight grille, fogs, and headlight switch and relay
Also check to see if the wires are already there(should be close to where the fogs would go) some cars were already pre-wired.

270 shipped, or you can look at other set ups on the site and see what would work. the mini h1 is the easiest because it is built for reflector housings with an h4/9003 style bulb, and you keep full high/low functionality and your car looks BAD ASS when it's done. look at the example pics they have, you won't regret doing it right

to get high and low beam headlights you'd have to retrofit. dont put hids in the stock housings, is an idiotic thing to do. get morimoto mini h1 projectors from theretrofitsource.com and do it that way. but the complete kit with hids and youll have 10x better lighting that stock, and probably 15x better than hids in stock housing. it is actually worse light in front of you. the kit costs 270 bucks, and you literally have to bake the headlights apart (hot to's available on here), and they bolt in and then have a splitter that hooks to your original wiring harness to give you the easiest and most effective HIDs you can buy. they also are bi-xenon meaning they have a little piece that when you turn your brights on, goes down to give you a full high beam light, with better output than anything. trust the guys on here, spend the time (3hours) and money (270 bucks) on a retrofit and you'll love it forever.
as for fog lights, get under the car and look where said fog lights would be and if there isnt wiring there, then you gotta buy a complete kit. i got mine on ebay for 125 and it includes everything including amazing customer service. ill try to find a link to the page here shortly. and if there is wiring, well you gotta replace the headlight switch to one that allows fog lights, get a fog light relay, get the housings and grille for the fog lights, and then put them in and get bulbs for them. I highly doubt you can get those parts much cheaper or easier than the kit on ebay though, so i recommend getting that. if you have questions about it pm me or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and i'd be glad to help with either thing, as I did install the foglights myself in a short amount of time, and i've been studying the retrofit project for awhile and saving up money to do it

I have a 2000 SE, I want to put fogs in it, but don't know if the wiring harness is setup for it. Also, I would like to put HIDs in the headlights, has anyone done this with this model car and what were the results like? If good, where did you get your HIDs and how much? I only want to if I can find the dual brightness HIDs that fit so I don't have to replace the housings. Thanks in advance!
