Ckenny18 do any of you guys have pictures of the "gunsmoke" on your headlights? i thought about getting those but i dont know if they are dark enough, i know laminx will cut you a custom set in any color youd like, but when you order directly for your make and model the colors are what they "recommend"

reverand I have used the Lamnin-X, did not use any protectant, they still look good.

zx5fanatic Did you have to apply the protectant they sell or did they last that long on their own?

BrokenSVT I've had the extra thick clear on my SVT for ~6 years now, no discoloration at all.

Sniper Focus I did mine myself, and I did a terrible job (at least I think). I got it on straight, but I had a lot of water and air bubbles. I knew eventually that they would evaporate away, and they did, and it looks perfect! If you get it on straight with no giant bubbles the imperfections will heal over time.

I used a brand called Xpel that I bought off a member. The install called for a mix of water and isopropyl alcohol; which is slick surprisingly.

Kipp you could do it yourself if you take your time. just get a water/soap mic and clean the lights real good and then spray a good amount on so you can slide the film around to position it. then you just press out the water and let it set.

zx5fanatic Ok. I ordered the clear headlight film and yellow fog light film. To have the headlight film installed professionally it costs $70-80 (additional), I'd probably do the fog lights on my own. Should I have it done or is it easy enough to do for a first timer?

katiekay I just put Lamin-X on all my lights a few weeks ago, it's a quality product and you can get it with some UV protectant spry as well(to make them last longer) The installation was a lil tricky. I botched one taillight, but the headlights and fogs came out perfect. It's best to use a hairdryer while applying to make it a lil easier.

Blue5ive Works really well from what I've heard. Plan to do it myself. If you want to do tinted film check your local laws first. Some places do not allow any kind of tint on headlights. You could get ticketed and not pass inspection.

bringler26 I have lamin-x on both my cars I really like how well it protects them. I want to redo them on my focus as I botched the one side as my first attempt plus I'd like to put on the light smoke to pull the car color in. They protect really well.
