|henryd1981||On Thanksgiving, I did a day trip to Oklahoma with family. Had 3 people in the car going up and 4 on the way back. The morning was cold and I think it got no higher than the mid 50s temperaturewise. The whole trip averaged 35 mpg. Not too shabby with all things considered.|

My highway mileage tends to vary a bit even though I usually set it on about 72 mph and cower in the right lane. I think it's because gas pumps' cutoffs vary, and with a 12.4 gal fuel tank you can get a different fuel load every time.
However, on a recent 1800+ mi round trip where all but maybe 10 miles was highway, I averaged 35.7. Some of it I ran the a/c, some not.
Mine is a 2012 SE hatch MTX dead stock. Currently has just under 26K on the odo.

2012 SE sport package manual transmission.
at 47mph on cruise with flat terrain no winds 49mpg..
at 51mph on cruise flat terrain no wind 47mpg
Add hills and the mpg drops.. Add speed and it drops..add wind and it drops..

Freeway only In getting 40-43 depending on wind. I have a 2012 SEL with the DCT, with no mods currently.
Im averaging 34-37 overall. Im using Shell 91 which has upped my mileage by about 3-4mpg on average, over 87.
I drive about 110 mile commute a day and then when I get to town I rive around the city about 10-20 miles a day.
Currently at 26k miles.
