Does anyone know if Ford extends warranty on parts that it installed under warranty? My 3 years is almost up and I don't want to have to do this next year because the part is still faulty. (Assuming they are installing the same part number)
Hey ellisd,

I can look into this. Send me a private message with your full name, phone number, and VIN. Also include your current odometer reading and preferred dealer; I'll check out available resources.

It's at 36000 km. It's fixed again under the TSB for strut bearings. Sounds good again. I assume it will need it again in a year if they used the same part numbers.

Hi boombots,

Speed bumps in neighborhoods drive me crazy. Have you ever noticed they seem to be taller than others? If you decide to head to your dealer to have this checked out again, please let me know. I can look into additional assistance.

The first time I got the bearings replaced they used part# DV6Z-18198-A. This time they replaced both with DV6Z-18198-B.

I did a quick google search and found this image of the difference:

So far no clunking, but it came back within a few weeks last time. Maybe this revised part will finally fix it. Has anyone else gotten the REV B version?

Update to this post: ~2.5 months later, everything is still good, no clunking, even in the -5 degree weather we are having.

This is my understanding as well - won't hurt anything, but sure doesn't sound pleasant.
Speed bumps, driveway entrances, and frost heaves in the road are the biggest noise generators for me.
