sleepyboy Yea I do, but for what I want to do this is what I need. I ordered those parts from Newegg, they're on there way already. And naturally because I couldn't wait I get an email with the egg saver lol. Good news it wasnt' that much in savings but every bit helps when it's hundreds of dollars.

Oh speaking of my new build can you suggest any cases? While I was going to reuse my old case I'm feeling this build should be newer on the outside as it is on the inside. Not looking for anything fancy just a nice affordable case.

BluePanda You know my opinion on laptops. Though I understand you're needs/wants. :)

sleepyboy I need group input for a laptop for gaming. Must be able to play Star Wars Battlefront smoothly, not necessarily at high setting but at least medium, and play GTA V. Price range is about 600 though I will go a little higher if it's worth it. Not really looking for new, but yesteryear's power houses should be more affordable now with refurbished units and such.

I was looking a Dell Precision M6600's or M6700 if can get a later one. since I have a M4400 and they're great workstation laptops meant for Graphic design and cad work so they have some beefy video cards. My problem lies in the fact that once I get up into a certain price range it opens the door up greatly for laptops. This includes used and new ones. Now I'm over whelmed with choices and not sure what models to go for. So this is where y'all come in with some much needed input. Thanks in advance for any help.

I agree, I have been gaming for over 15 years mostly on pc, with some xbox in between. But PC gaming offers so much more potential in every way.

Or you could buy a single gtx 980ti (which is pretty much a Titan X with less V-ram) for $650 and destroy every game maxed at 1080p or higher for probably 5+ years.
But if you prefer the consol experience, that's 100% okay, and I won't knock you for it! :)
I play on PC and Xbox and I think I prefer the Xbox. It's just an ease of use thing, if I put a game in its going to work and I have a big friends list on there. On PC a new game might take hours of trouble shooting to get running and it feels lonely(super small friends list).

That being said, even with my low end video card the games look better and you just can't get some of more unique games on consoles. That's the whole reason I have a PC for the unique games like Gone Home or The Talos Principle.

I even have Wii U but I rarely play that thing because there are about 5 games for it and I'm only interested in 1 of them. Mario Kart. My son likes though but he is 4.

FocusedSlayer That's 650 times 2 I always went overkill and played everything in ultra high settings. But now that 650 I can use on games and ext hard drives and things for the Focus and Fiesta.
