prerunnerwannabe Oh, I was able to get a stable over clock of nearly 1500 mhz core on my 950. I feel like I did pretty well on the silicone lottery with this card.

prerunnerwannabe Nice! I have a first Gen i7 and a gtx 950, and I'm not super sure about my 430w psu handling an over clock on both. I guess if you feel like you need a bit of an upgrade you have a way of doing it without changing any of the computing hardware!

sleepyboy I found out my overclock seems to be voltage dependent. Added a little voltage and it seems like the power supply doesn't like it. Computer would shut off, not a lot but sometimes. I know my build is right on the power limits of the power supply. That or my wall voltage isn't stable, but I'm betting on the power supply. I need to get a 600w or better I'm thinking. The EVGA 500B 500w bronze just can't get it. It's rock solid on a 4.3ghz overclock with no voltage increases for now so that's where I will leave it. I did notice frame rate increase with the overclock going to 4.5 and 4.4 so I'm going to shoot for it one day. I'm running higher 1920 x 1200 native resolution of my cheapy Sam's club clearance buy from years ago. Turns out it's not a bad monitor lol

prerunnerwannabe Awe, this thread kind of died the last couple of weeks. Anyone doing any cool compooder stuff?
I bought two systems at an auction the other day. It's older stuff, but I got a good deal, so I'm pretty happy. They're HP 8100 Elites (Somehow I keep picking those up) but full towers, so I can actually fit stuff inside of them. Each also came with a 22" monitor, so I'll be using those. My plan is to double the ram to 8gb for each system and toss in GTX 750 ti's or 950's to make them decent, inexpensive gaming rigs and try to make a couple bucks profit.

sleepyboy Figures, you know my luck and components lol

I want to get another board but with red or brown switches just for something a little quieter since the wife doesn't like how loud the blues are, though she is getting used to it. I did try the O-ring mod but I had to double stack orings to do that so I just did the WASD keys.

BluePanda Lol. Just gave a way a mech keyboard in a contest...that and 6 mice. :)

sleepyboy Bought a mechanical keyboard the other day. Something about the sound of and feel makes me want to write a novel, it just a soothing sound to me. It's a cheap Aula Demon King with knock off Blue switches. Fantastic for 30 bucks I think at the local computer store. Really wanted a red led board to go with the theme. Oh speaking of theme I put two red led strips in the computer. It's all lit up, but of course after I bought the red led strips I came across a RGB strip with multiple color changing ability..figures.
