OPsDad They have DIN slots, and most makers use them. Why not DIN connections, etc.? Why do car makers want to make it so impossible to upgrade these kinds of things? I'd think that "standard" audio/video connections would be a selling point! I find the car maker mindset impossible to understand.

I believe he is talking about the trunk BUT if he accidently wrote trunk instead of hood than you'd be right. I believe he is trying to find a way to hook up high level/speaker level inputs to an amplifier from wiring pre-existing in the trunk. which would be awesome than you would not have to splice into any door speaker inputs.

xwhit3devilx Look behind the battery (take it out) for a rubber grommet you can pass wires through. It feeds out under the carpet to the left of the steering column. You have to peel away a little of the sound deadening materiel to see it from inside.

Yeah same deal here. I think I can deal with the stock door speakers for now, but i'll probably upgrade later down the road.

Yeah, I love the way mine sounds. And the bass doesn't overpower the music, but still has a nice kick to it.

I just purchased a subwoofer and amp sono door new door speakers or amp for those....does it sound decent with just upgrading the amp? I have been worrying so much about that.

Did the same thing with mine, i have a 10' slim pioneer in the back with a rockford amp under the passenger seat
