Looks like you can get Gears 4 for free if you buy a 1070 or 1080 card.

I can PM you my address lol
Just having fun budget building with what I got and taking it all the way as cheaply as possible. I'm going to build a skylake pc, but right now all availble funds need to go to bills and whatever left to Ole' Yeller so I can start autocrossing it instead of my daily driver SVT. I just replaced the rear drivers side bearing and need to do the front one as well, so racing is starting to take it's toll on it.

Wish I could but I'm stuck at 768p due to the tv, which is surprising that's it's higher than 720p, but I have an update for this.
So the 5200+ was really holding me back. I had a AMD Phenom II X2 B57 laying around from the previous build of my wife's computer. Had to update the bios but the mother board finally recognized it. 3.2ghz stock with 6mb of level 3 cache. The 5200+ didn't even have level 3 cache, let alone the about this one does. I'm hitting frame rates I was only barely able to hit overclocked on the 5200. I also swapped out the 9800gtx+ to a GT330 dell card I had laying around. It's way more efficient and is comparable to a 8800gt which the 9800gt is based off, just more efficient architecture. Slightly less clock speed, but a 1gig of vram instead of only 512.
So now I'm at acceptable levels of performance. Hitting easily above 60 majority of the time and mainly around 80fps. I'm able to get a stable 3.4ghz with no voltage increase sine the board doesn't support that. I was also able to get another 100mhz out of the video card. It runs hot around 60* but it's got the tiniest cooler on it, everything else is in the 30's.
Right now I'm looking for a cheap motherboard that will let me unlock the other 2 cores on this processor. Then I'm certain it would be able to play even more games. Right now having dual cores is holding me back. GTAV almost plays on it lol

Just played the Forza Horizon 3 demo on XboxOne, good looking game! Can't wait to see what it looks like on PC. Few screen shots I took in "photo mode"
Looks like there will also be a "drone mode" where you can make videos and maybe gifs?

So, I did some research, and it turns out that while the i7 860 will pretty easily overclock to 4+ Ghz, once you start bumping up the voltage, it becomes an insane power hog. Like 200+ watts under load. Well, since I'm using a pretty mild 430w psu, and the 1060 I'm (eventually) getting had a tdp of 150 watts, it seems like the safer route is to not overclock the pants off of the ol 860. Turns out, if you don't touch the voltage, you can safely OC the cpu from 2.8Ghz to about 3.3-4, and it takes just a hair more power. So that's what I did! While running prime95, temps never went above 60c with the cpu fan at its lowest rpm. Hopefully the extra 500Mhz will let the 1060 be able to do its thing without getting choked by the old school i7.
Anyways, that's the latest :)

Its very easy on NVIDIA cards. AMD cards seem more complex.

I have also learned about oversampling this week. Only tried it with Rocket League so far but it looks awesome. I'm running it at double my native 1080 resolution 5120x2160 with fxaa on high. I'm still able to run it at 60+fps.
I also hooked up my PC to my 4k TV and it looked great but my TV would only allow 30fps at 4k with vsync. Lame.
I went down a real PC gaming rabbit hole this week. I'm loving this GTX1070 and I cant wait for Forza Horizon 3 and Gears 4.
