PRSman25 Wasn't there a recall on the battery cables?

freemind Both battery cables and at the starter for sure.

PRSman25 Yes yes! Dielectric grease makes the world go round!

Where exactly though? Battery to starter I would assume?

freemind Remember to be liberal with the dielectric grease too!

Buddy4679 They can be as much as $140 at the dealer if I am not mistaken....
you could always check your local junk yard and see if you can find a decent donor....

PRSman25 Yeah I believe that is the part I found.

$60 seemed kinda steep.

Need to replace my battery cables

I was working under the hood today and noticed that the positive post on my battery was COATED in battery acid dust/corrosion/whatever you want to call it.
Then I noticed that the positive battery cable was split about two inches from the terminal. (!!!)

I can't seem to find a direct replacement from the usual sources (Advance, Auto Zone, etc.)
Rock auto had one, but it said it was for automatic trannies only. (?)

Where would I find a direct replacement cable?
And If not, what would be the best route to go about to replace it with the prepackaged cable they sell at Advance Auto?
