tukaniSVT Yea, I am at the moment running the AGX Adjustables and H&R Race ... not bad. But definitely will spend the extra 100 for the Koni's, unless I find a good deal on CoilOvers.

ThatOneFocusGuy I have this setup on my EP car and I will never change it. Unless someone wants to pay for custom coilovers.

GodLovesUgly I totally forgot about this! thanks for posting!

this sorta makes the H&R+Koni Y's more appealing to me.

tukaniSVT Someone created a Spring rate chart for the focus.

Here you go - > CLICKY HERE

wrc_fan From my interweb wandering, I'm pretty sure you want 500 in-lb + on the focus to try and keep the heavy strut front end under control. One of these days I'll get the money and time to do the whole natural frequency measurement and calculation and make that happen on my focus.

GodLovesUgly 500 in/lbs sounds pretty good.. On my Miata i'm running 450/700
Would I need a higher(500#+) spring rate on the focus? I'm not sure.
I also wonder if the OTS KWs can be revalved if need be..

Ha. STS is much cheaper...

pkolator Springs are cheap though. About $50 each for good ones. I would guess the off the shelf KWs could handle up to 500 in/lbs.

GodLovesUgly if i go coilovers, i'm going custom. a custom setup from KW will run me 3500... I can't justify 2k for over the counter when custom is a lil more. i've also read that the over the counter coilover (KW) only has a touch higher spring rate then the H&R springs.. not sure how true that is though.

tukaniSVT Coilovers are also height adjustable for better low-center of gravity.

I think the H&R Race / Koni Yellows are the minimum for SMF. The guys in our local SMF are running the KW Coilovers and definitely kick some major booty.

pkolator Whats the cost difference between the H&R/Koni setup versus a good coilover setup?

A quick look at TR and its about half the price. $750 versus $1500-$1900. But does that outweigh the tune-ability of the coilovers (pick your spring rate)?
