wordyahurdd just incase anyone was wondering, it was a warped rotor...rear brakes changed this weekend and noise is gone!

wordyahurdd driving the company car until Monday now because I'm taking it out of town this weekend (free gas ftw) so there will be no update until next week lol

wordyahurdd still driving the company car, I'll know if the noise is gone after I leave work tomorrow!

6SPD_soul Like tukani said, put it back on lift when you get a chance and make sure it's not the dust shield scraping, this caused a pretty annoying sound on my car which was also drowned out at speed. You might also try driving it slowly with the windows down close to a building, the noise should be more apparent and could help you narrow things down.

tukaniSVT So ... what did the spray do?

Did you get the noise out? It could be dirt in there. Did you check the dust shield behind the rotor to make sure it wasn't touching anything?

wordyahurdd update: put it on the lift to change out my wheels to winter mode and the right rear rotor is noisy when I turn it. I sprayed brake cleaner on it and put it back in our lot cause I'm driving a company car for the week

GodLovesUgly Maybe you have gas? get it? strange noise coming from rear?!?
Had to.

I had an odd noise coming from the rear tires before.. one of my lug nuts was loose. weird?

wordyahurdd I determined it has something to do with the rear brakes. The noise goes away when I brake.

I haven't had time to take the wheels off yet and take a look, hopefully I will be able to fix it when I swap on the good ol' snow tires.

tukaniSVT That sounds about right.

When I heard that noise before, it was the metal debris cover plate was bending towards the rotor and it turn was running against it for some odd reason. So, I bent it back.

The second time I heard it was because the rotors were warped and I have to get new ones.

Or the brake pads have some dirt between the pad and the rotor.

I know what you are talking about, because I get it sometimes. Lots of AutoX-ing and you will get tons of weird noises after running. lol.
