Tiger-Heli Short answer is I highly doubt it would work at all for your car.

I think the new button is standard on ALL 2013's. (I know SE's have it not just the Ti's). I don't think ANY 2012's had it (including the Ti's).

So on your car, the only way it could possibly work would be if Ford included all the circuitry for it, intending to add it, and then scrapped the idea until 2013 b/c the switch wasn't available in time.

It's theoretically possible, but not likely.

Sonic_HedgeHog More good stuff to procure from a busted Escape

TiStick I really don't like where that new switch is located. Since I have to reach for the fogs every time I turn the headlamps on, I can see my self getting fogs on and hatch popped all in the same blind reach. If they truly wanted to satisfy the scenario as tech1000 described, we would need the Escape's kick open feature, and an open assist from the struts.

tech10002 Yes, I am fully aware of how it works, but this is the scenario... Wife comes up to the car with bunch of crap in her hands and yells at you to open the hatch. She can get her pinky hooked on the hatch but has to sit all her crap down if she actually has to find the open button and push it. Hence, I just want to know if the Titanium button will work, not have 5000 smarta** reasons I don't need to do it. LOL

Sonic_HedgeHog As long as all the locks are unlocked the hatch can be opened with the exterior button no problem
