hah yeah, you can really get those things rocking and rolling while trying to crawl along in traffic.. or reversing. The technology in them is more than a few years old now, so they're not nearly as intelligent as new automated-manual transmissions.
ie, sometimes when you just want to crawl along a little bit, you give it a bit of throttle to make the clutch grab just a bit... but sometimes it'll want to finish its clutch engagement and you lurch forward a lot and have to jam on the brakes :p Fun times.

that's why all our cars in my family are MANUAL'S , 2012 Focus, 54. F-100 (V-8), and 74 Mustang (V-8), all sticks, might be getting a 2004+ Explorer (auto, but no choice there).

Kinda funny actually.
Ehh, when the Maserati Quattroporte first came out, it was only available with a single clutch automated manual. Everyone hated it because it was rough and unresponsive. The automatic option that came along a few years later is generally accepted as the one to get.

drewp i like mine so far, have 700 miles on a 2012 hatch sel. i do notice the tendency to upshift to fast leaving it with a bogging down feel. so my solution where i can i just accelerate away faster. lol works great then and fits my driving style better. ive noticed that after a short run with the pedal to the meddle it acts more agressive even after waiting for a stop light. is the cars computer going into a sportier driving mode for a spell? i also am curious to see results from tuners that i hope will be available soon. see if they have better shift points for in town driving.

When I'm in slow traffic, I usually keep it in first and have no problem with shuddering or shaking.
I honestly resort to neutral drops at around 2k rpm.

It just goes, with no drama at all.
