GhostTribute I love the Honda K20/24 swapped Elise that are out there... nasty machines!

Super 7 My next car is likely to be a used Lotus Elise, which uses a 1.8 Toyota engine, or a '95/'96 Lotus Esprit S4S. There were 367 of these made for the entire world, and around 195 sold on North America. The stock 2.2 liter turbo puts out a respectable 300 hp, which was excellent 20 years ago when it was introduced. In contemporary tests they would Car and Driver did 13 flat at 108 in the quarter, and 0-60 in 4.4. Not that fast by today's standards but way fast enough to be fun. Very quick for a car with EPA figures 17 city and 27 highway. Top speed 168. Porky for a Lotus at nearly 3000lb on the road.

The Elise would be better for me, its a convertible, its got toyota power, its newer, and its lighter. Road and Track tested it in 2005, and got: "0-60 mph takes just 4.7 sec. and the quarter mile is dispatched in 13.4 sec. at 101.4 mph. Top speed is equally impressive, arriving just a few ticks shy of 150 mph". They EPA at 21 city and 27 highway. Of course, there are superchargers, and all that available, but it weighs close to 2/3 of what my SVT does, with 20 more horsepower. 1950ib on the road with soft top.

I like bare aluminum in the interior, too. I'm just drawn more to the Esprit for some reason.

Light cars are fun. I've owned 5 different Lotus over the years, and I intend to own more of them.

There is, you just need to figure out how to get it to the deck. Next motor/car combo for me, looks like its in 4th place right now.

GhostTribute Aside from the 2.0L (gas) 4 cylinder Mazdea 3 sport that I just picked up for my wife last week. My next vehicle will have a naturally aspirated 2.2L 4 cylinder, '04 - '09 S2000.
