roswelltop Focus _SE, thank you for posting a copy of your work order. I'm taking that to my dealer. Really appreciate this.

P.S. Your dealer had your car for 8 days ??

Tightening the bolt has not fixed it for everyone. Just because it fixed it for you does not mean it will for everyone else. Like I said, I tried both tightening and loosening it and my door creaks just as much as before.

Now I have a '14Ti that has the same problem. My dealer has replaced the door check twice, and neither time has fixed the noise.

The service managers suggestion was that I send the car to his body shop, where they would "cut into the door jam and (blah blah blah)".

So for now I am living with the noise. Sorry to not be more helpful, unless you haven't tried the new door check route. I would recommend you try that if you haven't cause it fixed my '13.
What part is the door check? I don't know if replacing parts will fix it. It only happens when it is hot and I can see the door jamb flexing where the closer is attached, which is why I thought the hammer trick would work but no luck.

Did you read my post? I said I already tried the fixes suggested in the thread. On the ST forum some people said tightening that bolt did not fix the problem and some people said it came back after a while.
