|streetfocus||Well I want something reliable. This is my daily driver. I want to be able to punish it occassionally at the track without worrying about driving it home. What is reasonable?|

|KyleQ||My Contour SVT with a 3L lasted 2 months on a stock diff @ 200HP - after installing a Torsen my weak link became clutches - I tore two expensive stage 3 and 3+ clutches apart at the hubs. I've done some ~7K drops into 1st and power shift second nearly every single time and its fine - lol. Poor car :D|

LSD on a stock focus makes the car faster in everyway... Spinning isnt winning.
Example... 300 whp with no LSD I cant use My Launch Control 15.033 at 98mph
With lsd 12.7 at 107 granted I still spin on street tires but Atleast first gear is slightly usuable on 255s
Seen stock cars pick up half a second or more from a lsd and gear change.
+ stock diffs blow up like their made of plastic when power some how catches traction when shifting gears.

|JackRyan||Honestly if u drive ur car hard, for racing or recreational purposes, a LSD is a must have. i put my QUAIFE to work everyday. The power that gets to the ground is night/day to an open diff. haveing both wheels to launch with? priceless Being able to hit a corner/apex faster with both wheels pulling you where u wanna go? also priceless if u dont drive it hard u wouldnt even notice it was there, until you get some snow or rain. Then it really shines traction wise to anyone whos driven a FWD car in the snow with an open diff. Everytime it rains i jus image thats the traction im gonna have in my powerband after i add boost hahaha and love every minute of it|

its a mandatory no matter what style racing you do. get the power to the ground.
