The other thing to consider is that even if Ford manages to work out what parts need changing/re-programming etc and makes enough they need to find people/dealers who can perform the fix. If they keep sending good parts to people who can't install them properly Ford is just flushing their money and ours (wasting our time to travel to dealer etc) down the toilet.

If Ford has a limited supply of the "good" parts they might be putting preference on dealers who have a track record of actually fixing the problem. The downside to this is that if a customer ends up at a "bad" dealer who has a bad track record at fixing problems they will not probably know until encouraged by the Ford customer rep to go to another dealer. This can be a real pain for the customer.

12_SESport Dealer called today and said it was the tcm. They're going to replace it but said it will be a few days. I'll keep everyone updated.

Tried manual shifting(sport shift) and even floored the gas pedal, revs stayed below 1000 rpm and the car inched forward. The parking brake was not on and it was in gear, so something was way wrong.
So, my point to all of this is be careful with the newest update. I dont know if the tech applied the update wrong, if it's just bad luck or if it was in fact the update itself that caused it. Either way, I am fairly certain it toasted my transmission, as is the dealer. I will update on Monday once a tech looks into it.

Hey Meagan,
The dealer called today and said they couldn't figure it out. They are going to continue troubleshooting it tomorrow but to expect it to be another few days before they know. The car has 73000 but the service writer told me that Ford was supposed to cover it due to the warranty extension for the clutch and tcm. Thanks for any help.

That's supposed to show CEL/trans codes better for the TCM, not CAUSE troubles.

Anyways, I got the new type clutch a few months ago and a TCM update. Everything was great, until two days ago. I guess another TCM update has come out since the last one I got. While getting an oil change, they did it without my knowledge. I noticed immediately that there was a shudder that was not there before the update. They told me to give it a few days and I did. The check engine light came on the next day and then I got an alert while driving to "Service the transmission now!" on my cluster info center and the car was shifting horrible and the tranny was clunking like crazy. I could barely get the car to a parking before it completely stopped going forward.
