I brought it in to my local Ford dealer (at 58,000 Km) who verified the warranty issue and they "updated the PCM/TCM and reset the adaptive Strategy". Seems to be a little better so far but I have to drive it for 1,500 Km for the control module to reteach itself. I am hoping this will cure the problem but I am really doubtful. I have a feeling I will be back every 25-30,000 Km to have this redone at the very minimum. I am really regretting buying a Ford and if you are considering purchasing one I would advise you not to. My son told me about his friend who had a 2012 with similar issues and he had the clutch replaced 3 times. I guess I am lucky???!!!! Who is going to pay for Ford's problems when my warranty runs out!!!???
Hey Wiseguy62,

Glad to read this issue has been resolved. I want to make sure the Ford Love is here to stay. Should you ever have any concerns down the road, please don't hesitate to reach out - I'll gladly see how I can help.

Do you have an appointment set up, stang7043? Please let me know, along with your mileage.

you go to www.facebook.com
then at the very top there is a section you can type in called find friends
type in ford focus and select the very first entry that shows up, it has a black box that says focus
the is a section called posts to page, if you keep scrolling back thru it you'll find transmission complaints, same as this forum
