64 GB SDXC does work with the Focus
So I finally got around and purchased a 64 GB SDXC card for my focus (since I don't have Nav but have an SD card slot that was essentially not being put to use). After formatting it to FAT32 (and not exFAT), I was able to transfer 44 GB of music on my card and so far, it is working without a hitch.
FYI for those who don't have NAV but would like to put their SD card slot to use.

And now, the art shows up...
ETA: 64Gb cards come formatted as exfat natively (at least mine did, a Sandisk Ultra) recognizable by my wife's camera immediately, but not the Focus. It has to be Fat32 in the Focus.

The car wouldn't read the 64GB card.
Not sure if its just incapable of reading the card or not or whether it is due to formatting, I'll give it another shot formatting it and seeing if it works.

|valmundo||So what is the status on this? Will a 64 GB card work? Apparently, it has been confirmed that a 32 card will work.|

|MyThIc3LiTe||I have a 64GB card so I can try it out for you and see if MFT even recognizes that the car is there, I'll let you know when I try it.|

I use a 32gig card and it works just fine. Try it out and see is the only advice I can offer. I hope this helps.
Why not use a thumb drive?
the SD card will not protrude like a thumbdrive. the biggest low-profile thumb drive i can find is 32 gb.
