Twenty The drive train has been pulled from Ketchup!

Since the engine and transmission came out I have removed the engine's wiring harness and thanks to Kyle Deyoung I now have a replacement fuse box and engine bay harness since both of those were damaged in the collision.

Today Mario (the owner of the ST) and I spent a couple of hours stripping it down further, removing many interior pieces such as the door panels and center console. There isn't too much left to remove before the shell goes away, so hopefully it won't be long before we can call it done.

Twenty Ketchup's part out thread:

The drive train should be pulled out next week. It'll be time to start getting new parts soon!

Arco-Zakus ^^^ I "liked" that you shared that information, NOT that Ketchup came to that end. (For anyone who is superstitious, maybe the name was unfortunate from the beginning?)

Twenty BOOST.

Swapping the engine of the sedan was always the plan, but it all depended on when we could find a suitable donor.

After Ketchup was hit, and it was determined that the damage was too severe to fix, we began waiting to find out what buyback would be. The number was reasonable so I took it and now I have started pulling the car apart.

The engine was fairly heavily modified but naturally some components were destroyed in the crash, so it may start its life in the sedan at a lower level of tune than it was in the ST. Fortunately all of the stock components were kept so they can be reinstalled if no new aftermarket parts replace them.

We've already had a lot of support from friends and shops to see the swap through which has been a big help. I have a somewhat ambitious deadline set in my mind for when I'd like to have the swap done, but I'll postpone it if I don't feel that everything is set as we get closer to it.

I've submitted the part out thread for Ketchup which is waiting on approval now, and I'll provide a link in this thread once it's up. I've opted for the drivetrain-only conversion so a lot of the car will be up for sale.

More as it happens!
