TerryB Do a search for " thermostat housing " you'll get plenty of info.

Coolant Leak

I am a Volvo 240 guy, and have had some experience working on several other cars. A friend of a friend is having some issues with his 2003 Focus, and here is what he said:

"not holding coolant. most of the time i was just adding water every 2 or 3 days. last week, it was sitting for 3 days, no use. then i went to drive it and the car was shaking, not acceleration properly. i bought coolant and filled it up. you could see it just flowing out the head, i think. there was more coming out the side i think too. anyways, it was driven that one time last week and been sitting since. 2003 Focus hatchback."

Not very helpful - but I wanted to see if you guys knew of any "common" coolant leak suspects for this model, before I take the time to drive out there and take a look.

Thanks
Mike
