|2015silverHatchSE||Finally got this done thanks to the vid by ChalupaJones! Going for a test drive. I used the AEM (marked K&N too) closed end direct fit dry flow filter, BTW.|

|ChalupaJones||Haven't heard of anything to replace those. I'm not a big fan of their design. That's why I'm going to try the 1.0l version.|

|Mrlandy||Plugged resonator tube on my air box. Going to try to modify stock box to get rid of two separate air tubes and make one big tube from my snorkel to the airbox corner. Lower gas mileage but acceleration is better than ever. You can hear the snorkel sucking air. Wish I could find the K$N airbox cover for sale without the filter. Anyone know of any replacement tubes from snorkel to airbox?|

|ChalupaJones||Lol not really no. I want to see if it'll work for myself :P|

Ok so I spent $50 and bought the parts brand new from tasca to test this out for myself. Now granted, this will just be a test fit.
I don't have an obdII to monitor stuff yet but I have a feeling there won't be too much difference besides actually having a closed bottom section of airbox.

Only if the airflow isn't restricted by the single inlet hose as opposed to the two for the 2.0. I'm also concerned about the hole in the airbox being big enough for the MAF sensor and filter connection.
I do like the design of the 1.0 air inlet hose and that there isn't a resonator hole in the bottom of the airbox.
If I can get my hands on the inlet hose and the bottom of the air box I'll make another video.

K&N does offer an intake for it that corresponds with 2.0 and 2.0ecoboost part numbers.
