Dysan911 You'll want to find a place that can tint the front windshield as well. That is if you truly want to benefit from the ceramic type heat rejection tints. The front can be tinted very light so not to impede night vision but by tinting it you'll really help cut down on the solar heat getting in through one of the biggest pieces of glass on your car.

Focus_2012 I had a friend do mine that lives in my town and he uses 3M and it looks great and seems to function quite well I have 15% up front and 5% in the back.

pablo94sc LLumar and Huber Optic are made by the same company, IIRC. I just got the LLumar FormulaOne Ceramic at 15% (it's really 18%) on the sides and front strip, and 35% on the rear of my hatch so I back up at night without having to roll the windows down. Unless you are looking dead-on at the rear, you can't tell the tint is a lighter shade. I highly recommend this unless the area you live in has strict tint laws, then 35% all the way around will work well too.

jackson4264 Thanks Guys. I did price the Nano Ceramic and it's 350.00 and the Xtreme is 179.00. The Nano is supposed to block out 66% of heat and the ceramic 33%. I've seen the shop's work and it looks good. They are out of Birmingham, AL.

engine ear A friend swears by it. I was in a car he has that has it and it isn't as dark as a tint that removes heat and you can feel very little heat coming through. I was going to get it but the few places that carried it told me the same story: Germany is having problems manufacturing it and they didn't know when they would have it in stock again. Also, rather pricey.

2012_Focus_ Tint is almost all the same, If you really want the better of protection I would go ceramic.. if your paying 100 or less for a 4 door car without knowing someone then your most likely getting a cheaper film.. ASWF, lumar, 3m are good brands, others I dont know much about.

knightp25 Not sure, i usually get my windows done by a shop in my area not sure what type they use, but they are very good at tinting windows, hav had several of my cars done there. Plus the shop guarantees the tint for the life of the car.

Window Tint

I have a general question that some of you folks may be able to answer. I'm looking into getting my windows tinted and I'm checking into getting Huper Optik Tint put on them. Is this window tint really that good ? I've seen some positive info on the company and their products. But, is it really that good of a window tint ? Just curious and would like some opinions from people if they have it on their car.
