rental cars

'04 Mitsu Lancer. I'm NOT in shape and I could out run that crap heap down our street (a good 50 yards). Believe it or not, I'm not exagerating a whole lot. One thing I do appreciate about the experience: getting back in My car was better than sex. If the Evo even approaches being a decent car, it's only due to an act of God.

R&DSVTZX5 I'm in a Focus Sedan, I dont really mind it because it is a nice one. Only 700 miles, keyless entry, still got that new car scent, its Tan with Tan cloth interior. I wanted the Escape, but it was given to the guy before me. Normally I get a Taurus, believe it or not they are nice, ride real smooth. Dont have that go power when you accelerate, but who cares when you are riding in comfort....

What kind of loaner cars do some of you get?

R&DSVTZX5 Sledge Hammer sounds like a good idea, it will be next week sometime when they either get the parts in and may have my car fixed and back in my driveway. Dont know, it seems that getting the parts is what takes the longest.

Chick That really sucks. But I'm glad to see that you still love your car cause I know I would have already taken a sledgehammer to it already.

My Poor SVTF

Okay, before I begin with my list of things that have been replaced, I want to say that I love my SVTF, this is by far my fav. car that I have owned so far.
[deep breath]!!!!!!!

My baby is sick...... got fluid leaking out all over the place. I swear every time I pass by my local dealer my car springs a leak.

I dont know if any of you remember me posting somewhere that I had a oil leak and they found it was the oil pan gasket. Well my SVTF has been in service for that fix, got a call today and discovered that the CV Boot on the axle is leaking, gotta replace that. And last but not least they believe that it was not the oil pan gasket that was leaking, because it is still leaking, they think it may be higher than that??????? Something about the gasket under the crank. I went a little numb after that because all I remember was something of the extent of having to pull the motor out..... turn it upside down..... just to replace that gasket.

Oh, and messing with everything they somehow managed to mess up my alignement, gotta fix that also.

Okay after two thermostat housings, cam, cam gear, cam sync. clutch and a couple of ECU reflashes, I should be used to it by now.

(I'm sure there are some out there that have had worse on their SVTF, so with that said I know now how you feel...)
