|sgtsmasher||well some what i did is move one of the cables are attached to the TB but i moved it back to its stock location not the throttle cable whatever the other is and its fine slammin through gears like i was before, so im good thanks guys, i just turbo tom to tune my damn car hes been at his sons wedding or some shit and ive been waiting|

Yes the grind/lockout is a trans issue.
The syncro's can't match speed fast enough at high RPM. Using a lower viscosity fluid helps.
I run 5w-30 motor oil and shift without issue @8,000RPM.
The thinner fluid allows the syncro's to catch up faster, less resistance.

I still believe that this is a trans issue. Specifically a MTX-75 issue. Whenever you want to have fun and go to third with some force, it refuses. I think it is related to my issue with it refusing to go into reverse when cold. But before you do more spirited driving, I would check out that TPS and your vac lines to ensure that it doesn't do that again. But as far as the transmission, it is as durable as the sun, but it has flaws still.
(And that grinding issue has made me look like an ass before. Lol. I have said, "that's a trans issue". They think I am a bad driver....)

The transmission can not make the engine hold or raise RPM. That requires power, which a transmission can not create.
As stated, throttle cable issue or something engine related.
Bad TPS or collapsed PCV tube would be the common ones.

|Minchkin||That acceleration issue sounds like a stuck throttle cable. But the grinding might be a clutch thing. Although I am pretty sure that is just an MTX-75 issue... Mine will do that every now and then...|
