E365/5 I just bought a brand new set of these for my new Focus. The actual weight from a good digital scale with no valve, TPMS or center cap is: 18.9 lbs (18 lbs. 14 oz.)

If the picture disappears they are part number CV6Z1007G, I believe.

16", ten spokes that split to make 20 points of contact with the hoop. They seem pretty rare.

e30og yea those arent really THAT heavy compared to anything else that size you could have. If it were any lighter I would worry about curb rash ruining them

Ox-y-GenIII Thank you 2012 SEL for the info. I've been trying to find the weight of the 17's for ages. My new 18's are 19.8lbs each. Awesome.

edit: woops meants 18's, not 17's.

Relative to the aftermarket, the stock 17" is a bit on the porky side. The stock 16" and 18" are right around the average though.

2012sel 24 lbs.

I sent an ebay message to a seller with one of these and asked what the actual weight is. He just replied with this response...

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your interest in the 17" 2012 Ford Focus factory alloy wheel. The wheel weighs 24 lbs. Let me know if there is anything else I can help answer.

The stock tires I have on these (Continental ConiProContact 215/50R17) weigh 22 lbs.

So I've currently got 46lbs at each corner and will be swapping them eventually with Titanium Michelin Pilot Sport 3 235/40ZR18 which also weighs 22 lbs and wheels (zillon-esque) in the mid 23 lb range. So good to know I'm not adding weight by going to 18" wheels.

By the way, lists these Ford Racing Titanium style 18" wheels at 25.8 lbs.
25.8 lbs.

And for good measure, based on RonMaiden's post about the 16" wheels...
19 lbs.

I'll be posting just the wheel pictures and weights over on the thread entitled 2012 Focus Wheel/Tire Guide.

Miller88 The OEM 17'' alloy wheels on my parents 13 Escape are heaver than the OEM 16'' Jeep steel wheels on my Cherokee.

Quantos Which ones are that? I assume either 3879 or 3879 (white and charcoal 16")?

RonMaiden I weighed my 16" sport wheels before I shipped them and they were @19lbs each. I've read the 18"s were right around 30lbs.

I also am not sure what the weight difference between a 215/55/R16 vs a 215/50/R17 tire is?
We debated this on another thread a while back. IIRC both are between 20 and 22 lbs.

Car and Driver did a study on this. They showed predictably that increasing wheel diameters on the same car resulted in increasingly slower accelerations and lower fuel economy. But reducing the wheel/tire weight by 5 lbs (e.g. 18in to 16in) increased acceleration by 0.2 seconds and fuel economy by 1 mpg (4.5%). Not really a great tradeoff for giving up some handling ability.
