lddavis The Recaros also fold flat.

The full size spare in the ST means that the rear deck is a inch or two higher than with the mini, which also puts it an inch or two higher than the folded-down rear seats. Both are level, but there's a difference in height between the two flat spots. So, depends on what you mean by "flat". Same with the ST1 seats, as it's the spare that makes the difference, not the seats.

zippy75 Thanks for the reply. Does that go for the Recaros too or just the ST1?

ST Questions

I'm thinking about buying an ST and have a couple questions:

Do the rear seats on the ST fold down flat like they do on the SE and Titanium?

Can someone who has an ST possibly measure the distance from the road to the bottom of the grill, 12" from the center of the car? I'm looking to buy a base plate (a towing plate that attaches to the frame of the car) so that I can tow the Focus with four wheels down, and I want to make sure that the normal Focus base plate will work without having to drill holes through the front fascia. I'm hoping that the tubes will protrude at the grill opening, but the ST is so new that the base plate manufacturers themselves don't know.

Thanks in advance for the help!
