stealthzx3 the fit isn't terrible. quality, meh, i'm not extremely satisfied with them, but they work. it feels it's made from different plastic than the oem mirrors.

Blue5ive You can use strandedwire if needed. Also can use silver wire instead of copper since silver is a better conductor of electricity than copper.

Have thought about power M3 mirrors with leds just to change things up but not sure of the fit and quality.

stealthzx3 i'll see what i can find. thanks for your help!!

TerryB Yeah, it doesn't need thick gauge wiring at all. I just happened to have a small bundle of phone wiring around. I've actually used it quite a bit. It has to be the copper wire though. Not the stuff that has thin strands inside.

stealthzx3 you used telephone wire terryb? that's nice i don't have to use so much of my expensive power wire. can it be any power wire? like speaker wire?

stealthzx3 no power to them? i guess it's not really necessary.
10-04-2012 04:34 PM
TerryB Okay. I only have a two wire setup. LED turn signals only.
10-04-2012 04:14 PM
stealthzx3 sorry, i meant the power part of the mirrors. or, the motor that makes them move? lol

there is 4 wires; white, blue, yellow, and green.

TerryB Just tap into the power off the front turns. You have parking light in the middle wire ( orange ). Outside wires are turns ( blue ) and ground ( black ). Of course black being the ground. You won't have to touch that. Unless you want to run your wires all the way.

stealthzx3 ooh i see now. i still don't know how to wire the power part.
