MG_MK3 Got offered a trade plus cash for my old DY wheels.. Couldn't pass it up, I was on the hunt for both ST wheels and beaters for winter. Couldn't be happier. Gonna clean the brake dust off of them tomorrow!

funny how you can't have tinted window cuz cops'll get shot yet they pull you over for having tinted windows.

RonMaiden Colorado has a 27% tint limit on side and rear windows and on my Focus it's 20% with 15% on the rear window while my STI and 4Runner are solid 15% all around but no issues. My friend, the CSP,says he might use the tint as a reason to pull somebody over if he suspects something else but he's never written a tint ticket and usually just gives a verbal as a suggestion.

Well if the cop pulled you over solely for tint then that's just sol. Only thing is where I'm from if I ever do get pulled over and use this advice it might be weird during -30c winter lol.
One of my employees is a retiree that just wants to stay active and pick up work here and there. He's 65 and got pulled over by the local police for having illegal tint.

He bought the car from a dealership with the tint already on it, and never thought anything about it. The cop wouldn't hear it, and told him he could explain it to the judge.

He said he felt like a teenager, because the officer pulled him over just for that at 7:00am on a Sunday, on the way to work, and is standing there testing his tint with a device.

I don't see why the officer pulled him over in the first place - I couldn't tell any difference between his "illegal" tint and my 35% legal front tint.

Must have been a boring morning - he's had the car for five years without an issue.

I've heard the same thing. I know that the puddle lamps and hatch lights are the same as 2012-2014 (194/mini wedge), but I'm uncertain about anything else.

2015 owners will just have to wait.

I've been going over a full year with a dipped front plate and not an issue there either.
I do this too. it works almost all of the time, except for the time he came up to the window and asked me to roll them back up so he could inspect them, then gave me a ticket. lol

I agree with this and it's funny...the guy that does my tint actually got pulled over in Greeley on his way to put a windshield in a car lol. Got a 50 dollar ticket for illegal tint lmfao. First time he ever got hassled in like 30 years of tinting.

He says when you put 35% over factory solar tint it drops it down to 28% which is the limit here in Colorado I guess.

You can have limo tint on windows behind the driver, but driver and passenger can't have less than 28%. Also only allowed to have a 6" -8" tint added to front windshield at the top above the rear view mirror.

I just did 35% on all of my windows, but Aug. 10th my wifes ST goes in for tint. Might do limo tint on hers.

That's a good idea, I've never thought to roll down the back window.
I try to do everything I can to make it easy on the police.
