|I Bleed Ford Blue||
I tried this mod today when I got to work, took me about 90 seconds to do. Including plugging the wires into the dummy connector under the center speaker. I noticed an immediate improvement in the front stage. Don't know why ford puts the center speaker there in the first place, all it does is degrade the sound quality.
I'll dig around on my wifes escape ti and see how to do this mod to it. And on a side note, I did this mod to my 11 fusion SEL with sony system. But the fusion had two center speakers, one above the radio and the other in the center of the rear package tray.

I guess I'm not sure honestly... Lol
But what I meant, was that in certain points in the song, it sounded kind of jumbled. As far as where the sound was coming from I guess. Now, I can differentiate better where the sound is coming from. Does that make sense?

|bama_focus||Not forsure on these terms, what do y'all mean by muddy? Im hard of hearing and wear hearing aids so I'm not big on audio quality but may try this out. Does it affect the volume of people talking when you're syncing a phone call?|

Just tried disconnecting center speaker. In the five mins I listened to it and tuned it a little bit, it sounded much better.
I used a song that for some reason sounded particularly muddy in my car, but only in my car. House stereo sounded fine, work stereo sounded fine, it even sounded better in my ear buds, minus the low end... Anyhow, after doing a bit of tweaking, the song sounds amazing in the car now.
I will probably keep that speaker disconnected...

|medic68wjoe||My stock one blew so I replaced it and yes it was a paper cone. And I used T-Tap connectors and insulated quick disconnect to the speaker and T-Tap's|

|Stevins||Were you able to find a wiring harness so that you did have to cut the connector?|

I wonder if it would be worth it in the long run to buy rubber cone speakers.

|medic68wjoe||I replaced the stock with a 3.5" polk audio speaker, and it lined right up with the stock screws.|

|virtualbeas||Does anyone know what size the center speaker is?|
