ProSilverVT02 Yes, Tom's Tune is the best "bang for the buck" mod for any SVT.

His username is 1turbofocus.

Shoot him a PM and he will give you the details on how to get tuned.

Jaketet Alright, thanks, now I just need to find what will give me the best bang for the buck for other mods. From what I've been reading, a tune is basically a necessity

ProSilverVT02 First off, Welcome to FocusFanatics

Secondly, I'm glad to hear you did some research and you are correct that a drop-in filter is one of the best upgrades for the intake.

With that said, since you live in the Northeast and you're probably not racing your SVT, you shouldn't worry too much about heatsoak.

I say since you have it installed already, it would be just fine to just leave it on.

Going back to stock intake?

I put in my K&N short ram along with the heat shield that it comes with. Unfortunately I bought it before I found this site and after some research, it sounds like I should have just saved my money and just got a drop-in for the stock filter box. Long story short, is the heat actually a problem and is it worth it putting the stock box back in?
