yeahdudeguy lol i wish i spelled wife wrong sometimes!
i would be happy with 5k im sure ill have to sit on the car for a while if i do that. i dont really need the money for a down payment i really just thinks she wants it gone because i love it but thats might just be me thinking to much

CT SVT bought mine for $6k in 2007 with 66k miles clean SVTF no issuse and it was from MASS. sold it in may 2012 for $4k with 112k miles. so valve is still good on the SVTF

matmatician In the title, you spelled wife wrong.

I dont suppose you can convince her that the 4 grand you'd get by selling it wouldnt be a worthwhile downpayment on a "family car"? I mean, if you're really lucky, you may be able to get 5k out of it... and if there's nothing wrong with the car now, that's worth keeping in and of its self, i would think... Good luck man, I hope your wife re-considers.

Maybe she could sell some shoes to help with a down payment? I mean, relationships are all about compromise...

time to let the svt go

so my wife tells me its time to be a man and sell my car and get something for the family =( so like it should be i will be letting it go after the new year and get the new Escape. and i just dropped 2000$ into maint. i have been hoarding parts for a while lol.which sucks for me i planned of having this car for a long time but i guess she is the boss

but my question is how much should i be trying to sell my car for?

so what i have as it sits right now. i will how ever provide a basic tune-up once bought and a good cleaning

2003 cd silver zx5 svt
132k miles
winter package
audio upgrade
mach headlamps

2.5in trubendz borla with res
K&N drop in
Eibach Pro-System
c-f-m short throw shifter
saleen shift knob
DRT cross drilled slotted rotors with ceramic pads (changed at 131k)

maint. all done at 132k
Luk oem replacement clutch and flywheel
Ford oem timing belt and water pump
Ford oem shift cable
Motorcraft left side axle
Ford oem swaybar links
Ford oem flex pipe

will be adding new tires this November which will be all-season Kumo esta2

I looked in the cars for sale which i think are all fairly priced but for the amount of maint. i have recently done i have no idea
