sleepyboy No yellowing and it's been a few years already. Just the clear coat peeling off. My car is always parked out side too. I'm sure some brands will have more problems than others, but no ones ever really compared the after market non factory lights to each other before. We kind of lump them all into one category lol

ProStangRacing Yeah I had that issue with the aftermarket ones I put on my mustang , they yellowed after a year and that car pretty much only sees daylight when I take it to the track. I hope the focus ones hold up better.

sleepyboy Yeah at that mileage time to get some new ones. I ended getting some SVT knock off's that came with HID's. Though I wish I would have bought my own HID's since I lost the high beams with the kit that came with the headlights. But for the buck forty that bought them for wasn't just a bad deal back then. So far they are holding up but the clear coat on them peeled off or started to on one headlight and to top it off. I spilled some brake fluid on one when bleeding my clutch one time. That ate into the head light too so now it has spots on it. I haven't tried polishing the spots out yet though I need too.

ProStangRacing Yeah I just hope the quality of aftermarket lenses hold up ya know . Not that I really use the car much except on the weekends, but I don't garage it because my garage is filled with my other toys.

Blue5ive With 140k I don't blame you.

ProStangRacing Yeah my head lights have 140k miles on them so they have seen better days . That's why I wanted to go new. I was kicking around painting them but for only $100 I think I rather just change them out with fresh unpitted lenses.

Blue5ive I was only recounting my personal experience.

sleepyboy You say it like it's that easy, which in a way it is, but also in a way it isn't. Ether way there are two options to getting the black housing headlights. Buy some or make em your own. Ether way its going to look good on the car lol

Blue5ive If you have an oven or a heat gun then 30 minutes to open. 30 minutes to paint. An hour to clean off old sealant and put on new and close them up. So 2 hours. 3 if you want to procrastinate. Better than spending $100+ on new ones.

sleepyboy Yeah but that is a lot more work than just unbolting and bolting back into place.
