Jonny pep New clutch installed and clunk is still there. I tried the s2 shift cable adjustment method and it didn't work out. Shifter felt funny. I did ford way of adjusting them but its still then same.

StephenElsbree1986 Sorry we don't have Clutch forks we have "shifting forks" anyways watched the video, isn't that just the mounts.....

iminhell So the noise is only there while upshifting, 2 -> 3, 3 -> 4, etc?

I'm not sure, mostly because I can't recall what gear is on what shaft, but,
The SVT trans is a twin layshaft design. I'm wondering if the bearings on just 1 shaft are worn. That's about the only thing I can come up with. Not something I'd want to fix being you can find used trans's rather easily.

Jonny pep Shift cables are adjusted. Still a slight knock when letting off the clutch after shifting. If I stay in gear and bounce my foot off the clutch pedal or down shift... It doesn't do it.

First, try adjusting the shift cables. There is a thread in the "How-To" section about the procedure.

StephenElsbree1986 This is the clutch fork no? We have these, its wearing the hydrolics are making the fork release to quickly causing it to drop.... Is this not the case?

Jonny pep My car does the a light clunk when up shifting only. Mounts seem ok besides the pass mount. It's not leaking but has a slight crack around the bottom. I swapped it with a vf mount and still does the clunk. Any advise?

flaurencelle Ya, I did replace both upper engine mounts from Steve @ Tousley, made a difference for bad vibrations, more specifically, the passenger side one. The driver one, rarely goes bad...

I also checked if something else was knocking around by removing the engine mount bolt and rocking the engine forward and back by hand and the engine rocks free..nothing in the way..!

Also, I've tried putting a jack under the tranny while the torque mount was unbolted and the "Bang" is gone...I just hear it through the jack! So very likely the mount is shot...

I don't know if I should buy another rubber one or go with the Poly one..

I don't like vibrations too much, I had poly upper mounts and my teeth were falling..!

Anyone else has a clue?

BigRed03 the stock dog bone allows for quite a bit of movement. check your pass side mount. there may be a cap to pop off covering what i like to refer to the indicator. Once the cap is off, youll see rubber in the middle. Inside the mount there is hydraulic fluid. Should this mount fail, the rubber will concave IN; it should be convex OUT (indicating full of fluid). OE replacements (recommended from Steve, not the autoparts store options) or poly aftermarkets will run $180+ if you want it to last more than 2 months.

Plus, that dog bone is easy to take out and can be fixed with poly inserts for $25 plus some time.
