JohnWC could the stop light inhibit relay be causeing some of the problem///// i by passed the stop light switch and could get tran out of park but still no stop lights so i've ordered a new stop light switch threw napa

elsolo If the previous summary is correct, the brake light switch circuit should be looked at, it will prevent you from shifting out of park as well as prevent the brake lights from working.

elsolo Please clearly state what isn't working, I would like to help but I can't understand your shorthand.

Does not work:
Shifter cannot be removed from "park"
Brake lights

Turn signals (in rear)
Parking lamps (in rear)

JohnWC yep i have turn signals parkinking lights in back no brake lights or am i able to shift auto trans out of park

JohnWC i tthink i'm some of the problems mainly wiring just got threw re wireing hatch and rear end now working my way back to the fuse box checking evey wire still have a wire or something thats grounding out not being a auto tec understanding why everything seems to be connected some how together just don't make much sence boy i wish i still had my 68 ford P/U a lot simpler to fix when something went wrong

BC_ZX3 Wouldn't be much of an anti-theft system if it was easy to bypass. What kind of problem are you having?
Normal operation for PATS is:
Ignition key out/off, center LED lamp blinks every 5 seconds or so.
Key in, ignition on, lamp goes solid for three seconds, then out and stays off.
If the lamp blinks rapidly during an attempted start, PATS is active.

If the lamp does stay off after insertion of the key, the key has been recognised and PATS is out of the picture with regards to any starting/running problems.

anti theft

is there a way to bypass anti theft system so i can see if my problem is coming from there
