Multiple sources/forums. I assume that not everyone is BSing about the beta working correctly and the release not working correctly.

Just saying... a lot of shit on MFT doesn't work with Android or other phones too. Is it the fault of NFT or the OS of the phone? WE DON'T KNOW. The smart man's money is that MFT is a piece of shit. I'm not trying to make it an Apple vs thing. You have to. go ahead...
I see, so if I agree with your bias, then everything is peachy, but since I don't it must be a fanboy thing.

Got it.

I also heard from someone on this forum, in this very thread, that it worked fine in the final release... that they tested it with an "I love you" message. Did it really work? no. BS carries a lot of weight on message boards, especially this one.

What was your point?
People are dense.
My point is that there is no proof that it's apple's fault, so the Android fannyboys can cut their bashing shit. There is no proof it's ford's fault either... but taking a look at the fact MFordT can't even support a USB connection properly, or display a track name or button smoothly, or pair reliably, chances are in favor of Ford's system missing something. It could still be Apple's fault, but until anyone has proof, read the MFT threads and get a clue. It's a piece of shit. It barely works with a USB stick plugged into it.

Here is a quote from a random forum:

"For what it's worth, I test drove a Ford Explorer yesterday with My Ford Touch and it read text messages and emails from my iPhone perfectly. It's very disappointing that this doesn't work with Uconnect. The system supports it, so I'm not sure what the deal is. Since iOS 6 is still a beta, I'm sure Chrysler isn't officially supporting it yet, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work."

mattphoto And here's Apple statement, disclosed int he developer kit

Message Access Profile (MAP) : iPhone 4 and later

Quote:
Message Access Profile (MAP)
Message Access Profile allows exchange of messages between devices. It is mostly used for automotive hands-free use.

Note: iOS requires that the remote Bluetooth device support an encrypted connection. When establishing a pairing record between your iOS device and a Bluetooth device, you are also setting up encryption between the two devices.
Search the apple forums. Only Ford owners can't get MAP working with their cars.
What does that tell ya?
