SE2002 well I learned another thing yesterday. the starter was bad and there was no signs of failure. at least from what I am use to hear. I guess I got used to the old "hammer the stater motor a couple of times and...."

well this one just died and that was the problem.

thanks Jerry. thanks a Million

That would be the, ahem, starter motor relay. The fact the relay clicks is a good sign.
Start simple; check your battery posts/terminals for corrosion and tightness. If you have a multimeter, measure your battery voltage. It could be as simple as a dead battery or poor electrical connection(s).

SE2002 the only click hear is from a relay inside the cabin next to the fuse box.

but the starter does nothing, not a click.

MEJY1988 For the code check here: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Descriptions.

For the intermittent starting problem, does the starter turn over, or just clicks, or nothing?

P1299 code need more details

Well I checked the codes and I have P1299
I know that the car has overheated and recently the car had to be driven with the AC on since the rad fan would not kick on, and now before I can fix it it doesn't want to start.

the car does not start at all, nothing at all, BUT the problem is intermittent.
this morning the car started like a champ now nothing at all

can someone help me figure it out.
I am going to by pass the safety neutral switch and cross my fingers, arms , legs.. but Thursday which is the earliest I can.

thks
