nilskje If you are able to "fix" the issue by , turning the ignition, of and on , and this mostly happends when cold, the ABS unit is most likely on the way of saying goodbye, only way to get any further with the faultfinding, is having a scan done on the ABS unit, and body computer, (sounds just like mine until I replaced it with a unit from the junkyard).

sailor Or you MIGHT have an issue like I did with my cluster, had random brake warning light that DIDN'T correlate with any of the switches that turn it on!

Didn't "solve" it until I replaced the cluster to get one with a tach., also had a random failure of the trip odometer with an "eee5ee" code showing on the readout...

Both would SOMETIMES reset after turning it off & re-starting the car...

Just an FYI in case you don't find another cause, you could check it if you have a "bud" with a similar car to temporarily switch out the clusters (it's quick & easy).

luck!

Mile30 I redid my rear brakes less than six months ago... and found out I forgot to replace the tone ring for the rear wheel speed sensors. Perhaps that could be something you overlooked.

You could check the rear speed sensors with a voltmeter to see if they are creating that small bit of voltage as the wheel turns; or visually, if they're seated differently or too far back.

iminhell Any pending trouble codes?

Would sound like a Wheel Speed Sensor is on the fritz ...

'04 svt abs, trac control ande brake light come on

on colder mornings when i start up my 04 svt the abs , traction control and e brake light come on and stay on. a couple of times i was able to turn off car and re start and they would go out. but recently it took driving the car a bit and then restarting to get the lights to go out.
i checked the fluid level, and it looks to be at correct level. the wiring connector at the lid seems to be connected.

over the last year i have replaced the front and rear brake pads and rotors , new clutch kit , and lower control arm bushing. but none of this has been recently.

anyone have the same issue and figure out what the problem was ?

thanks for the responses.
