mustang0 I'm 6'4" 255lbs. fit just fine. Not a race seat by no means but still comfortable
for long rides.

John W I'll just repeat what the other "skinny" owners have said here. I'm 5'11", 145lbs. and have a 31" waist. The seats are nice, but designed for a bigger person. I fit much better into the Corrado seats that have been transplanted into my 93 Volkswagen Fox.

I probably wouldn't have been much worse off with the "S" or standard "SE" seats, which really aren't bad at all.

I did take the Focus on a 350-mile round trip this past weekend that included some great mountain roads and the seats were comfy and held me in place as much as I expected them to given my previous comments.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of the fabric. It seems overly athletic and kind of cheap. I like the contrasting grey and black, but don't particularly like the pattern. I do like the white stitching and I do, in general, prefer cloth to leather or vinyl.

Just my 2 cents on this subject. ...

DAC17 My seats are great; the fabric is grippy in the turns, they look good and, most important, they're very comfortable for my 6' 3", 185-pound frame.

misfire i traded my 2010 SES in on my 2012 SEL due to the fact that the seats in my 2010 were hurting my back so badly. The seats in my 2012 are sooooo much more comfortable. I no longer have back issues.

jimfocus I too love the seats. I am 6'2" 240 lbs and drive 35 miles each way to work. I like the firmness & material. I get hot easy but they don't bother me. My wife who is significantly smaller does not like them.

Elizabeth My big ass fits just fine in the sport seats. I like them

Michaelc1220 I love my seats as well. Ive taken a few long trips and find them very comfortable and they definitely breathe well. They are also fairly easy to clean and vacuum

They're not quite the thrones found in the S60R (quite possibly the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in), but these seats are pretty damned good.

As far as lateral support goes, they could use a bit more bolstering, especially around the torso, but they aren't too bad. Since I'm a cyclist, I'm pretty skinny, so these seats don't hold my upper body in place the way I'd like them to. So, if the Recaros are too snug for you, these seats will probably be a good fit. The material is also pretty resilient - mine still look brand new after 10 months of ownership.
I'm a cyclist too, wish I had the problem of being skinny.

I moved from the leather sport seats in my 3 series to these and found the transition to be smooth. Much prefer the cloth to the leather. Bolstering is okay, but I suspect that once I hit the track in the car I'll be less than thrilled. 1st world problem, no doubt.

They look fine, and I am comfy with my 185lbs - in the seats anyways. Would prefer to lose another 10lbs though.

They are far from bench seats, though. Go get in a car with the seats and go for a ride. That will tell you all you need to know.

My bad. Maybe if ford extended the transmission warranty or recalled them for making noises no car should make, I'd stop. I can guarantee that right now or in the recent past, someone at ford did a cost benefit analysis of whether they should do those things. I'm just trying to make it more costly to let it ride.

IE constant customer complaints outweigh the cost of fixing faulty parts.

Still though, I love the seats.
