Ox-y-GenIII To keep factory warranty and such that's cheap with install. Cobb's stage 3 kit is $3500 and it cost $800 to install everything on my dads ST.

Old Man Focus ST Just to compare, Ford Racing [Factory] mods are legal, Carb, EPA, California, approved. Intake, Cat back exhaust, Ford Accessport V3. FW H.P: 320, FWT: 360.
Maintains Factory warranty, passes CARB, EPA, Ca. and Legal, and quiet too. with 91 octane gas, 16 pounds boost. Equal or better any aftermarket kits. For this to work, must have Large front mount inter- cooler. It ain't cheap, $4500 including labor/installation.

Oh the poster above me claimed it "continued to pump". Yes, without track abuse it should not be an issue. However the water will not be pressurized at the same level and will lose some of it's cooling ability. I'm familiar with the mechanics of it all I was just posting to see what else he was going to throw us. Also he claims non coolant fed turbos do not need cooling time. No they don't if you don't run it hard and park it. Otherwise yes, the oil is the only thing in there and will break down from getting the turbo very hot and then parking it.

Water circulates passively due to extra heat in the turbo, which cools down the bearing area and eliminates the need for a turbo timer. In fact, nowadays with any good turbo, as long as you didn't just come off the track, there is no need to run the car for a while to cool things down. Modern oil and materials make this possible.

The water pump keeps going despite my engine being off? Is this your statement? I've seen some vehicles that have fans that continue to spin but never water being recirculated through the motor. And not all turbo vehicles use coolant lines. Look at a broader spectrum of vehicles before posting this happens and this does not. Which is probably why the ST is making more power vs. the MS3. Anyone know what the factory injector size and factory fuel pump pushes?

Its nice that Ford put a twin scroll turbo setup on the ST's from what I read.

donzilla2004 The biggest downfall to the Mazdaspeed 3 is the DISI, once you start to add parts you have to replaced the high pressure fuel pump that is driven by the cam.
