1turbofocus I agree , those cars are like the SVT Focus , One tune does not fit all , they ALL need to be custom

hardSVT I got my Ap for $300 used I love craigslist
Cobb has updated tunes all the time on their site, but I'd kinda like a tune based on my car not someone else's

1turbofocus You would have to have the AP for it to work and that alone cost 700.00 last I looked , then you have to pay for tuning and dyno time

I think 700.00 is excessive very excessive just for the part to tune the car then tuning again if it still cost that much I havent looked in about 1 year

I think the SCT software will be a better choice when it comes out and I would hope much cheaper as well

I listed all the focus tuners and this is what someone said
This is not a post to bash on any forums or Mazda peps
If you take this post the wrong way get over it

What do you think Turbotom

This is what someone posted

This isn't the old focus... this is a brand new platform. FSwerks has been building and tuning PI durtec engines.... this is a whole new ball game. The new 2.0 (both N/A and turboed) employ a DI fuel system. Which no focus has previously used.... however, this new Focus fueling system looks remarkably similar to the MS3... which Cobb just so happens to have a little experience in.

This is also the first turbo charged Focus from the factory. That means ECU complexity that FSwerks has never even heard of. STC has made a tuning solution (most likely the software fswerks tunes with) for every previous model focus... yet they haven't even released the software for the 2012 NA focus. They keep stringing everyone along telling them this is a very complicated ECU and they are still working things out.

Which would you rather have.. a complany who is familiar with building tuner turbo kits for port injected cars... or a industry leading company who specializes in factory turbo charged cars with direct injected fueling systems.

Maybe you should do a little research before handing out such advice.
First factory turbo charged focus? Didn't some euro version come turbo charged like the RS or ST OR am I wrong lol

mikebontoft not quite where I thought the thread would go.

I say, the more options there are for tuning, the happier people will be.

1turbofocus There is tuners on this forum that have the ability to tune the ST right out of the box when SCT finishes the software

Best thing to do is wait till we have tuning then go from there , maybe SCT will then offer tuning for the Mazda and they can have options for tuning as well
