Your wish has been granted in the new 2015 offers USB smart charging port, which charges two times faster than previous USB port

Well that would explain it. My ipad needs at least 2 and my phone seems happiest with a minimum of 1...

I've learned the car will not charge my Galaxy NOTE 10" tablet. A let down because I wanted to run torque off of it. :/

Mine charges; but it's only 500mA, whereas most smartphones rapid charge at 2A (2000mA) and tablets might require even more. I wish they'd at least put it a 1A USB port, but nope, they're making me use a 2A adapter for the 12v behind the center console.

TheHumbleGeek Yup...

Though, heres alittle something that might surprise you... Ive been looking on and off for a 1995 Taurus SHO 5speed in midnight blue. Ive only ever seen two on sale (well, technically three, though it was the same vin at the same dealer on two sales) and BOTH were going for $5000+ irregardless of mileage. Thats a 19yr old car that can still pull in $5000+....

Just Tom It was joke people!! With very few exceptions cars are not investments, collectible, antique and exotics which tend to appreciate in value over time would be those exceptions. The Focus is none of those, so I got about what I expected. I bought the car at dealer invoice and had about $2,500 in rebates thrown at me on top of it, so I definitely bought the car right which saved me a ton of cash.

Bought my '13 Focus SE hatch used for $14,000 last July. It is loaded with options. The only options missing on her are MFT and the Cold Weather Package. She had just under 38,000 miles on her at the time of purchase. There were many other Foci for sale at that time for $1000-$2500 higher. Many with higher mileage and fewer options. Shopping around is always worth it.

At first i thought it wouldn't charge my iPad because there was too much draw, but it doesn't charge my iphone, or the boy's ipod, either....

sailor Didn't have the heart to tell him my depreciation right away on the used Focus.

When I looked it up last spring during a similar discussion it sat at $1k for six years ownership.

Prob. down another by this Spring as it starts to age, at this point it's def. a "keeper" so it hardly matters.

Tigeo Paid 19K for my loaded 2013 SE (sticker was 24K) and its probably worth 11-12K in a private sale right now with 50K miles on it. 7-8K in depreciation in ~2 years..not bad really for a small American car. The folks that get creamed on depreciation didn't negotiate a low enough sales price or our trading in cars all the time. My cars are just not a big factor in my networth as they shouldn't be.
