Just traded in my 2012 Focus for a 2015 GTI. I had the K&N intake on the Focus for a year and a half, and while it was a little loud, it wasn't too bad.
I had problems with the filter staying on at first, but gradually tightened it until I felt like it was secure, but not going to crack the MAF. Didn't have any issues with it falling off for over a year and the MAF was completely intact.
I returned it to stock before trading it in. It will be for sale in the classifieds section eventually.

|Theblueoval||I've had the K&N typhoon for almost 2 years now with no issues. Still loving every minute of it. 2nd K&N CAI I've owned, 1 for my charger and the one for my focus, both have performed flawlessly.|

|Irishmykl||Reviving this thread again. I have the K&N i bought from Sonic and its been great, i had issues with the filter sliding off at first but its been fine for months, now that its gotten cold here in texas, i can't seem to keep the thing on for even a 5 minute drive. Im going to look into my MAF housing being warped or cracked. Thank you everyone.|

I've also heard of a few people trimming some of the plastic above the surface the filter goes on.
