Faygo Focus Mapquest and Sync Destinations are both working fine for me.

Original question answered... SYNC and OnStar customers need to use Mapquest, not Google Maps for send to car.

I haven't been able to get mapquest to work with Sync for days. It just says the sync service is unavailable. I wonder if we are losing that too.

Anyways, Google Map integration was a huge reason for me getting the MFT NAV. It was pitched to me by my salesperson. I researched, used it often, and with no warning it's gone. I have all my destination for worked, plugged into custom google maps for this very reason.
If you use send to car in the android play store you can easily send locations to mft using google maps...I do it all the time

DaK_Mojave Thanks for the how to use link. Would have been frustrating not knowing we had to add a number to the services page.

FordIVTteam Hi everyone -

The Google Send to SYNC feature has been discontinued. However, it's still available from MapQuest and the SYNC Destinations mobile app. Destinations is complimentary with your activated SYNC Services subscription and works with Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry!

The Mapquest app doesn't allow for this, Dysan911, but visiting Mapquest.com from your phone will. In my opinion, the SYNC Destinations app is the way to go!

I'm with you there, Bimmer-Bob! This application functions the same way our in-dash navigation systems do, you must be moving less than 5 MPH to enter a destination. As long as you input the info before you take off, you're good to go!

Let me know if you have any questions.

DaK_Mojave Cool feature that is not properly documented anywhere. Odds are if it was, people still wouldn't read it.

Downloaded the app to wife's Droid. Will check it out in a few days. We are not that tech savvy so hopefully it is pretty easy to do.

True, Apple's app but they were still throwing cash at Google for use of that backend. Just like the native YouTube app. Apple's app but they were giving cash to Google (and exactly why the YouTube app will not be part of iOS6).

Totally agree. I'd love to see the integration but as far as iOS goes I just can't see them going out of their way to make it integrate seamlessly with something called "Sync by Microsoft". Just doesn't seem their style!

FWIW, I find the SYNC Destinations iPhone app to be pretty good. Acquires and sends destinations to the car very quickly. I think integration into the phone's native map software would be ideal, but I'm not holding my breath.

Why would Ford be "supporting" GM in the first place? That's ridiculous. I think you read the whole thing backwards. He's saying he thinks Google stopped supporting Ford and GM because now both services no longer work with Google Maps.

Why would Ford stopping supporting Google have anything to do with Google Maps and GM not working as well?

Ooooh I see what you're saying. For some reason I thought the meaning was that the OnStar mapping application couldn't send directions to SYNC anymore haha I forgot OnStar is the system that's loaded in the GM cars. Woopsie.

Brabs_Weather sync destinations from the android store works better. only problem is that you cannot use it while going more than 5mph.
