1turbofocus I had issues over 700 as well , 600-650 seems to be a safe limit

Rods are going to be the weak link , then pistons

I made 600whp on the stock crank its fine. the puerto rican focus had problems with the stock crank at 750+whp

02_z_x_3 Jim is running the stock crank at 602whp but on stock internals at 400whp you're gonna demolish pistons and rods and most likely your block and head when it explodes. Build a motor oe your asking for trouble, you kinda seem like you just want a stock motor making mad hp. You have to pay to play.

Roushturboedzx3 they have been pushed to 300whp but it blew up. if you want it to last i wouldn't push much over 250whp. if you do cams, intake mani, etc and keep the tq at 200 you might be able to push it a little farther. built motor is a much better option

New Zetec Max HP

Ok.

The car is basically done as far as body and suspension and brakes go.
Now on to the new engine build.

Question, how much HP can a brand new Zetec handle?

I can get a brand new engine for a decent price 1000.00 bucks new never used.

I am buying a brand new Top Speed Street turbo kit from a member on here and want to know how much HP I can push with it to a brand new zetec engine.

I figure buying the new engine would be more in my budget than building one from the ground up. I know I will be sacrificing some HP with a stock Zetec over one I would build but that may be ok.

Thanks,
Joe
